Jackson Alumni Game is ON!

Ex-Broncs,

A re-match against Star Valley ever cross your mind? Ever think you would like to get one more shot at your old arch rival?

Guess what, you will. I have verbal confirmation that we will have an alumni game towards the end of June this summer. This game will be in Jackson as a fundraiser for cancer.

All participants must be ex-bronc players 2009 or earlier, no age limit. We have gear for about 80 players, first come, first serve.

8th Grader Welcome

8th Graders,

As future Broncs, we would like all 8th graders interested in playing high school football next year to attend an informational meeting at 4:15 this Wednesday (10/20) in the high school wrestling room.

For those of you playing 8th Basketball, Coach Huggins will let you out a little early to attend this meeting.

Football 10/4 - 10/10/8

We will leave for Lander this Friday (11/8) at 11:30. All players will be released at 11:15.

Make sure you have your pre-release homework form filled out when you get on the bus.

Frosh/Soph will play at 4pm and Varsity will play at 7pm.

We will depart for Cody this Friday (10/1) at 9:30am.

Athletes will be excused at 9:20am.

Bronc Football This Week.

We have a change to game time this week. We will play at 6pm on Friday night so Powell can get back over Togwotee before closures on Friday night.

We will have our pre-game meal in the commons at 3:30 if any parents are interested in helping serve.

Thursday's pre-game practice will also be at 6pm, ending at about 7:30pm.

Loose Ends.....

Parents,

Yesterday I handed out a flyer for donations to our pre-game meal fund.

Rachel Miller has be kind enough to take the lead on task. (Thanks Rachel)

Please have your athlete bring $25 this week for home game meals for the rest of the year.

Cards....

I know there are many cards out there that need to be sold. If your athlete still has extra cards to sell please have them get the money, or the cards to me by the end of the week.

Remember... every athlete must sell the initial 15!

I will pay all card sellers when I get them all in.

Rawlins This Week.

Varsity and Frosh/Soph football teams will depart for Rawlins this Friday at 11:30am with school dismissal at 11:15.

Please see the "Links" section on the left for Varsity and Frosh/Soph start times.

We will be headed to Laramie after the Frosh/Soph game on Saturday (9/18) to watch Wyoming vs. Boise State. Game time is 6:00pm and we will take a campus tour before the game.

We will return to Rock Springs after the game and return to Jackson on Sunday morning.

Friday, we will begin with our pre-game meal at 3:15.

You are not to leave campus, have your game gear ready to go.

Driggs Departure Times

We will depart for our game against Driggs on Friday (9/3) at 3pm.

The Frosh/Soph team will depart for Driggs at 1:15 (9/3).

Riverton Scrimmage Tomorrow!

We will have our zero week scrimmage vs. the Riverton Wolverines tomorrow Saturday, August 28th.

Frosh/Soph Departure: 4:45am

Varsity Departure: 7:00am

The varsity scrimmage will take place at Tonkin Stadium at 1pm.

The Frosh?Soph Jamboree will take place at the turf field next 2 the High School at 10am.

2010 BRONC FOOTBALL SEASON

Broncs,

The beginning of our 2010 season is two weeks away. Below is some information that will help you prepare.

August 16-20, 2-a-day practice:

8am - 10:30 and 5pm - 7:30

(First practice will take place on the north turf field, not the stadium field. Second practice on the grass field east of Colter Elementary)

Gear Checkouts: Aug. 11th/12th, 4 - 6pm.

Be on time on Monday the 16th at 8am!

Spring Ball This Week.

Spring ball will continue this week Tuesday - Friday at 3:20.

Be dressed out and at the field at 3:20.

This Saturday we will have an inter-squad scrimmage starting at 8:30am.

This Scrimmage should be over at 10am for those of you that are planning on attending graduation.

Our Missoula football camp has been canceled. I had 15 athletes that wanted scholarships, and only 7 paid campers by last Thursday's deadline.

Don't get discouraged! We will continue to improve by taking advantage of all the spring practice days the state will allow.

We will be adding another 4 days to spring ball: June 7 - 10.

Continue to work hard, and be on TIME!

We will speed/strength test first, then practice.

We will have a meeting this week on Thursday (May 6th) at 11:15 (lunch) in the wrestling room.

Spring/Summer Football Update

Broncs,

We have finally locked in a football camp for this summer.

We will be attending the University of Montana's camp in Missoula June 16-19.

This is going to be a great opportunity for all players to improve their skills.

We will leave early the morning of the 16th to check into the dorms by 3pm.

We will depart Missoula on the 19th at noon.

The cost for this camp will be $300 per player and this cost will cover:

• Food
• Lodging
• Camp Fees
• Transportation

Money is not an excuse to not attend! If you can't afford to attend this camp, let me know and we will make it happen.

We will also have updated spring football dates:

• May 24-27: No Pads.
• June 1-4: Full Contact.
• June 5: Scrimmage, inter-squad, possibly Pinedale.

We will meet to discuss the logistics next Thursday (May 6th) at lunch.

Spring Football

Below are the dates for Jackson Bronc Spring football.

• May 24-27 and June 1-4

We will hopefully be attending football camp June 16-19. Location to be announced.

8th Grade Weight Training at the High School.

All 8th graders not currently participating in sports are encourage to join their High School teammates for our daily speed and lifting sessions. Fully supervised lifting/speed training begins at 3:15 Monday-Friday.
